No. 10 Gaels snap Warriors winning streak

Box Score The Warriors winning streak was snapped at six games as the No. 10 Queen's Gaels edged Waterloo in a tight five set match on Saturday night in Kingston.  Set scores were 25-18, 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 9-15.

It was was Waterloo's tightest game of the season and unfortunately the black and gold came up just short in the final set.  The Warriors will head into the holiday break with a 7-4 record, tied for third spot in the OUA with Ryerson.  Queen's jumped into sole possession of second with the win.

Leading the way for Waterloo was Braden Cok (Waterloo) who had 19 kills in the outside attack.  Cok also added four blocks and two service aces.  Greg Simone (London) was the only other Warrior in double digits with 10 kills.  At the net, Jordan McConkey (Stratford) was big with eight blocks while also adding eight kills on the offence.

Causing the Warriors headaches all game long was Mike Tomlinson who racked up 20 attacks in the match.  He also added 13 digs and five blocks in the win.
