Western 5, Waterloo 2
Waterloo hosted the Western Mustangs for the first time in many years but home court proved to be no advantage. The Mustangs, the defending OUA champions , always a strong team, have been especially dominant for the past two years.
In doubles action, The Mustangs won two of the three doubles matches but not without a battle from the Warriors. John Chan (Whistler) and Eddie Wang () playing at no. 1 won 8-3.
In singles, Chan kept his winning record intact beating Andre Szilvassy 6-1, 6-1 and Wang, his doubles partner recorded the only other singles win. Nate Flach (Toronto) at no. 5 lost a close one in the super tiebreak 10-7. Flach roared back from a first set loss to even the match before bowing out in an entertaining third set super tie-break. Though beaten, the Warriors played well and were not discouraged by this defeat which was the last match of the regular season.
