#1 CIS ranked Ravens down Warriors in lopsided tilt

Bradley Spera led the team with 7 points in the defeat
Box Score

The winner of the last four CIS championships and current CIS #1 ranked Carleton Ravens visited the PAC on Saturday night and showed the Waterloo team and fans some excellent basketball. Unfortunately, they did so at the expense of the Warriors.

From the opening tip, the Ravens scored the first 13 points and held Waterloo scoreless for 7:16 of the opening period. Carleton opened up with a 34-2 lead before Waterloo went on their only mini-run of the night. When the game was over Carleton had a 99-36 win.

This game was all-Carleton as they out-shot the Warriors 55% to 27%, out-rebounded the Warriors 50-16 and had five players in double figures to none for Waterloo.

With nine Carleton players getting at least 15 minutes of playing time each, the leading scorers were Jean Emmanuel Pierre-Charles with 16 points and Connor Wood with 14.

Bradley Spera (Hamilton) had plenty of minutes for Waterloo as Myles Charvis (Mississauga) found himself in foul trouble. Spera responded with a 7 point night, hitting the team high along with Jaspreet Gill (Oliver) and Charvis.

With the loss Waterloo drops to 1-5 on the season. Carleton has a 6-0 record and continues to be ranked #1 in the nation. Waterloo hosts division rival Wilfrid Laurier on Wednesday night at 8pm to close out the pre-exam portion of the schedule. The game can be seen on OUA TV.
