The Waterloo women's soccer team dropped another heartbreaking game on Sunday afternoon as the Brock Badgers battled from behind to slip past the Warriors 2-1.
The Warriors took the lead late in the first half on a goal scored by
Tara Butterworth (Waterloo/) sending the Badgers into halftime trailing 1-0.
Brock answered back in the 75th minute on a goal from freshmanÂ
Megan Salisbury (Hamilton, Ont.).
The goal will be a memorable one for Salisbury as it is the first in her OUA career and it came off of a perfect cross from seniorÂ
Lindsay McDonald (Burlington, Ont.) setting up Salisbury for the flawless header.Â
The Badgers continued to put pressure on the Waterloo defense late in the second half managing to break through with the go ahead goal in the 87th minute.
The play began with McDonald putting another great cross into the box which was misplayed by Waterloo backup goalkeeper
Kala Studens (Sault Ste. Marie/).Â
Kelly Miller (Brantford, Ont.) was right there on the edge of the crease to knock it in for her second goal of the campaign and the game winner.

Jenna Vasiliaskas (Burlington, Ont.) recorded five saves for her first career OUA victory. Warriors starter
Lesia Bandura (Kitchener/) added seven saves, before leaving the game in the 80th minute with a head injury.Â
The winless Warriors (0-7-1) will now be on the road Wednesday evening in Guelph to face the first place Gryphons (5-3-0)
