The Warriors were up against some stiff competition this weekend in Ottawa battling the top two teams in the country. On Friday the No.2 Ottawa Gee-Gees cruised past Waterloo 98-60 before the top CIS team Carleton Ravens defeated the black and gold 93-58 on Saturday.

Ottawa shot 49.3% from the field and drained 15 three-pointers to easily get past Waterloo. Top scorer for the Warriors was Jaspreet Gill (Oliver/) with 14 points while Myles Charvis (Mississagua/) had 13.

On Saturday, Waterloo was once again up against some hot shooting as the Ravens went 47.7% from the field while making 29 trips to the line. The Warriors were only able to go 29.5% from the field but would however go an impressive 13-of-14 from the line.

Charvis had himself a game at the Ravens Nest with 25 points to lead all scorers. The rookie point guard went 8-for-10 from the field which included seven from beyond the arc. He was also perfect on his one and only trip to the free-throw line.

The Warriors, who dropped to 0-7 on the season, will be looking for their first win of the season on Wednesday when they welcome the Laurier Golden Hawks to the PAC for the first meeting of the season between the two. Tip-off is set for 8pm and the game can be seen live on Warriors TV.
