The Waterloo field hockey team advanced to the OUA semifinals with a thrilling 5-4 win over the Queen's Gaels on Friday afternoon at York Stadium.Â
The Warriors came back from deficits of 1-0 early and 3-2 at the half for the victory, advancing to the semis for the fourth straight year.

Queen's opened the scoring in the game in the 11
th minute on a goal by Caitlin Gordon (Richmond, B.C.), but Waterloo came back with goals by
Lauren Aitchison (Oxshott) and
Katie Hauck (Caledon) for the 2-1 lead. However, before the half Gordon scored her second and Lindsay Bjornson (Surrey, B.C.) added another to give the Gaels a one-goal lead at the break.

The Warriors opened the second with three straight goals to take the lead for good.
Alana Raymond (Ajax) scored the tying marker in the 45
th minute. Rounding out the scoring for Queen's was Amber Halcovitch (Apsley, Ont.) in the 66
th minute.
Nickole Levear earned the win between the pipes as Waterloo punched their ticket to tomorrow's semifinal against Toronto at 12pm.
