The Warriors lost a hard fought match to the No. 10 Queen's Gaels on Saturday evening in Kingston. Morgan McHaffie (Guelph, Ont.) scored the lone goal and netminder Mel Dodd-Moher (Stittsville, Ont.) stopped all 20 shots faced as the Gaels (12-9-3) edged the Waterloo Warriors (9-11-4) 1-0.
Queen's took the early lead with Morgan's 16th goal of the season only 3:05 into the first period. After that point the two teams stayed the course defensively and the Gaels held on for the 1-0 win. Dodd-Moher stopped all 20 shots faced for the shutout, her first of the season.

Rebecca Bouwhuis (Orillia/) of Orillia, Ont. made 23 saves in a losing effort.
Waterloo sits in a tie for the eighth and final playoff spot with Western at 22 points each. Waterloo's remaining games are against Brock and Guelph next weekend while the Western Mustangs take on Windsor and York.
