Box Score
The No. 1 team in the country, the Carleton Ravens dominated the Waterloo Warriors from start to finish, cruising to the 73-43 victory at the PAC on Friday night.
The Ravens scored their first 20 points before Waterloo could muster their first basket to pick up their sixth win of the season. The struggles continued offensively for the black and gold as they dropped to 0-6 on the season.
Carleton are now tied for second in the OUA east while Waterloo are alone in the basement of the West. If the Warriors cannot sneak out a win against their final opponent of 2012, the Ottawa Gee-Gees tonight, it will be the first time in franchise history they have gone winless in OUA crossover play.
The Ravens got offensive output from all players in the lineup as each player notched at least a basket in the win. Third year forward Thomas Scrubb was the top scorer for the winning Ravens with 12 points while brother Philip was next with nine. Tyson Hinz also had nine points for Carleton.
The Warriors were led by Denham Buchanan (Toronto/) who had a game high 21 points as he shot over 50% from the field going 7-for-13 while adding four free throws on four attempts. Kyrie Coleman (Washington/) chipped in with eight points in the loss.
The Warriors play their final game of 2012 tonight against the Ottawa Gee-Gees at the PAC (8pm).
