Box Score Game Summary
The No. 10 Waterloo Warriors remained perfect on the season with a straight set victory over the RMC Paladins on Friday night at the PAC. Waterloo put on an impressive show for the first varsity event of the 2012 Think Pink campaign cruising to victory. Set scores were 25-14, 25-13, 25-10.
With the win Waterloo improved to 4-0 on the season while the Paladins dropped to 0-5.
The offensive attack was spread around evenly amongst the Warriors with fourth year outside hitter
Aleks Poldma (Toronto) leading the charge with nine kills. Poldma also added two blocks and a service ace.
Jordan Dyck (St. Catharines/) and
Sergey Grabovsky (Aurora/) added to the balanced attack with six kills each while
Zachary Doherty (Goderich/) put it away five times in the win. Athlete of the week
Scott Thomson (St. Marys/) had 20 assists while
Hussein Abdo (Ottawa) chipped in with seven.
Defensively rookie Grabovsky was all over the court, tallying seven digs while libero
Erich Woolley (New Dundee/) had five.
Top point getter for RMC was Thomas McMullen (Ottawa) who had a game high 10 kills.
The Warriors turn their attention to the defending OUA champions, Queen's Gaels for a 6pm match at the PAC tomorrow evening.
