Box Score The Warriors struggled to find their stride in the early going and could not recover as the Laurentian Voyageurs cruised to the 80-52 win on Friday night in Sudbury.
The Voyageurs outscored the Warriors 20-6 in the first quarter and did not look back en route to their third win of the season and find themselves tied for second in the east with a 3-2 record. Waterloo failed to find their first win of the season and drop to 0-4.
Laurentian shot 44.7% from the field compared to Waterloo's lowly 28.8% while adding seven from beyond the arc.
The duo of Sasha Polishchuk (Richmond) and Erin Simpson (Sudbury) combined for 35 points to lead their squad to victory. Emma Decloe was (Sunridge) was the next top scorer in the game with 13 points.
For Waterloo,
Marti Killeen (Oakville/) tallied a team high 12 points going 5-for-10 from the field and 1-for-2 from the line.
Jacqui Rodrigues (Waterloo/) and
Madison Behr (Ancaster/Dundas Dynamo) chipped in with eight and seven points respectfully.
Waterloo look to rebound tonight as they face the York Lions in Toronto before returning home next weekend to close out 2012 against Carleton and Ottawa.
