The Waterloo Warriors lost their fourth straight game as they were shutout 1-0 by the York Lions on Sunday afternoon at the Ice Gardens in Toronto.

In the second period, Lions winger Andrea Joyce of Mississauga, Ont., scored at 10:10. Joyce has earned three goals and one assist in five games this season, giving her a total of four points.  With the goal, Joyce is ranked 16th in the OUA.

The goal went unanswered for the rest of the game.

With the win, Lions rookie goalie Megan Lee of Orillia, Ont., earned her first win while making 17 saves, to secure her first career shutout.

After five games this season, the Lions have a record of 4-1 for a total of eight points, putting them in a four-way tie for first place in the OUA standings with Laurier, Guelph and Queen's.  Waterloo sits in the basement of the OUA with two points and a 1-5-0 record.  Despite their record the Warriors have stuck with their opponents the last four matches losing all games by only one goal.

Waterloo returns to action next weekend for a pair of home games.  The reigning OUA champions, Queen's Gaels pay a visit to the CIF arena on Saturday, October 29 followed by the UOIT Ridgebacks on Sunday.  Both games are set for 2pm.
