The Warriors men and women tennis teams opened their 2010 season hosting the University of Montreal Carabins at the Waterloo Tennis Club on Saturday 18. Missing two key players from their starting line-up, the men fell to the Carabins 6-1, with Zubair Virjee (Calgary/) at #3 providing the only win by a score of 7-5, 6-4.
The women Warriors had an even more difficult time against their Montreal counterparts who are past National team champions losing 7-0 to this powerful team.

Women – Waterloo 7, UOIT 0
Men – Waterloo 7, UOIT 0
The men and women teams traveled to Oshawa for their match against the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. There the Warriors fortunes were reversed when both teams swept the Ridgebacks 7-0. Nachiket Yardi (Mississauga/) and Alison Drainie (Toronto/) playing in the # 1 position for the men and women respectively put on impressive performances for their wins.
