The Warriors opened their 2010-11 OUA season with an 82-2=59 victory over the RMC Paladins on Friday evening in Kingston.
Waterloo controlled the game from the start and had a 40-25 lead at the half. In scoring, four Warriors hit double figures with Alan Goodhoofd (Oakville, Ont.) leading the way with 16 points. Andrew Melbourne (Scarborough, Ont.) and Brendan Smith (Kamloops, B.C.) added 14 points each.
For the Paladins, Simon Dakin (Comox, B.C.) had 15 points while Gavin Viray-Cox (Georgetown, Ont.) had 13.
The Warriors look to improve their record to 2-0 when they face the Queen's Gales on Saturday night at the athletics and recreation centre in Kingston.

Queen's 63, Waterloo 62
The Warriors lost a one point game to the Queen's Gaels on Saturday evening in Kingston by a score of 63-62. The Warriors had a 45-31 lead at half time but scored just 17 second half points to give up the lead and fall to the Gaels in a tight battle.
Cam McIntyre (Kitchener, Ont.) led the Warriors with 23 points going 9 for 21 from the field and 3 of 6 from the line. Alan Goodhoofd (Oakville/Kings Christian) added 10 points on the evening.
Leading the charge for Queen's was guard Dan Bannister (Newmarket, Ont.) who put up 20 points in 38 minutes played. Chris Barrett (Vancouver, B.C.) had 15 points for the Gaels.
The Warriors will hope to erase the memory of a tough loss next weekend as they host power houses Ottawa and Carleton as part of Think Pink weekend at Waterloo. The Gee Gee's of Ottawa take on Waterloo on Friday night at 8:00 pm while the no. 1 Carleton Ravens battle Waterloo on Saturday night.
