Eddie Lopez joins the Warriors on an interim basis for the 2019-20 season. Lopez comes to the Warriors after serving as a head coach and President of the Tri-City Soldiers basketball program since 2016. He is also a former Warrior having played for the black and gold during the 2002-03 season.
In addition to his experience with the Soldiers, Lopez has spent time as the Executive Director of the Canadian Elite Basketball Academy (CEBA), promoting a physical and healthy lifestyle, instructing and leading training sessions, and providing player assessments and evaluations.
Lopez has prior U SPORTS coaching experience having served as an assistant coach for the Laurier Golden Hawks men's program from 2009-13 where he developed practice plans, mentored student-athletes and, analyzed game film. Lopez was also the Technical Director of the KW Lightning Girls Basketball Association for two years.
