Rookie Kristen Flanagan (Kitchener Ont.) was ninth overall (5th OUA finisher) at the Vic Matthews Open hosted by Guelph.  Kristen, showing great confidence in her first varsity race was aggressive from the start and inserted herself in to the lead pack for much of the race. Kristen led the Warriors to a third place finish overall amongst a highly competitive field that featured the reigning CIS champions and a number of other highly ranked CIS teams.  Kristen has quickly established herself on the CIS circuit and has demonstrated that she has worked extremely hard in the off-season resulting in great fitness that bodes well for the remainder of the season.
