The women’s hockey team needed a win in regulation to secure a spot in the OUA playoffs and fourth year netminder Stephanie Sluys (Clinton, Ont.) came up huge stopping all 21 shots faced as Waterloo blanked Laurentian 2-0. It was the 14^th career shutout for Sluys and it could not have come at a better time. Her Warriors will now face Queen’s in the opening round of the post-season, with game one set for tomorrow night at the CIF at 7pm.
