Jörg Ahne (Merseburg, Germany) had a solid start to his 2018 season at University of Windsor's Can Am Classic in Windsor. Ahne started his weekend with a season's best leg and the fastest leg for the Warriors in the men's 4x200m, running a great split of 22.3s. Ahne started his Saturday with a solid performance in the men's 60m (7.32s) as warm-up for his main event, the men's long jump. Despite a number of faults, Ahne managed to claw his way to a silver medal performance in the long jump, with a best jump of 7.06m. Ahne continues to lead the U SPORTS rankings in the long jump event.
