In only her second year, point guard Saraya Hickey (Tsawwassen, B.C.), has emerged as one of the team leaders on the young Warrior women’s basketball team.  Hickey had a very strong week for the black and gold posting 14 points on Wednesday night in St. Catharines against Brock and 20 points on Saturday afternoon at home against Guelph.  In what was Waterloo’s most competitive game of the season on Saturday, Hickey helped her team push for a comeback that fell short by only 10 points as she scored seven straight late in the game.  Hickey went 8-for-14 from the field, knocked down 2 of 5 beyond the arc and was a perfect 2-for-2 from the line against Guelph.
