Rookie long distance runner Adam Richardson (Ottawa, Ont.) had a fantastic race at the highly competitive uOttawa Winter National Invitational, earning the gold medal in the 3000m event.  Richardson was at his best in his hometown, running the race in a time of 8:24.69, beating his previous personal best by 24 seconds to claim the gold by nearly four seconds.  His performance ranks him eighth in the CIS and puts him at sixth on the UW all-time list.
