Fifth year captain of the men’s hockey team Joe Underwood (Canton, Michigan) led the Warriors to two weekend victories over Laurentian and Nipissing to extend Waterloo’s winning streak to eight games.  Underwood was a critical part of special teams in both games, collecting three assists in Waterloo’s 6-2 win over the Voyageurs on Friday night and then added the game winning goal on Saturday in a 4-2 win over the Lakers.  Underwood has posted 19 points in 20 games and continues to be the corner stone of the Warrior defence.
