University of Waterloo Athletics

Paula LaGamba (Toronto) of the women’s hockey team led the Warriors to their first victory of the season on Saturday in North Bay.  The master’s student was in on Waterloo’s first three goals including two goals and an assist to lead Waterloo past the Nipissing Lakers, 5-1.  She continued her stellar play on Sunday against Laurentian with all sorts of chances but could not solve the Voyageurs’ keeper as the Warriors fell 2-1 in a shootout.
