Fourth year outside hitter Zachary Doherty was instrumental in Waterloo’s 3-1 OUA semifinal win over York on Friday night which qualified the Warriors for the CIS Championship next week in Saskatoon, their first appearance since 1995.  Doherty was an attacking machine, racking up 16 kills in the contest and was also stellar on defence with 14 digs.  For his efforts, Doherty was named the most valuable player of the game.  The Warriors will now travel to Saskatoon for nationals with Waterloo’s first game on Thursday against Alberta at 4pm (EST).
