Stephanie Sluys (Clinton, Ont.) has been named Athlete of the Week for her third straight stint as she made 28 saves against their cross-town rival Laurier in 2-0 shutout victory Saturday evening. The first year Kinesiology major was perfect in helping Waterloo snap an unprecedented losing streak of 26 regular season games against Laurier which dates back to a 2-1 overtime victory back on December 4, 2004. Sluys has posted a 0.20 GAA, a .992 save percentage and 4 shutouts in 5 straight victories.
