Competing in her last OUA Championship, Chantel Pilon (Trenton, Ont.) went out in style winning the gold medal in the women’s pentathlon event.  In the process Pilon set personal bests in the 60mh (9.45) and long jump (5.10) while breaking her own varsity record she posted just one week ago with 3486 pentathlon points overall.  Topping off her weekend, Pilon ran the lead leg in the women’s 4x400m race which saw the Warriors finish fifth, missing the podium by one second.  Pilon will be representing the Warriors at the CIS Championship next month in both the pentathlon and 4x400m women’s relay which sees Waterloo ranked seventh in the country.
